Careers and Work Experience

At Reepham High School & College we work hard to try and make what we do as relevant as possible to the world of work. Within lessons teachers consciously attempt to develop the skills, knowledge and understanding that employers want. The timetable is regularly collapsed for “Careers Days” when pupils work together in groups to solve real world problems. All pupils have the opportunity to get involved in extra curricular enterprise activities.

Within this broad context every pupil also benefits from receiving high quality careers education.

The intention is to enable our pupils to make informed choices and to develop their work related knowledge and skills. Careers education is delivered through:

  • Individual Careers Interviews with Mrs Osborne, our qualified OCR Level 6 Careers Guidance Adviser to give to give impartial careers advice to Year 11 students about further education and apprenticeships.
  • PSHEE lessons, tutor time, the careers notice board and through careers guidance online website.
