Ofsted

We are delighted to report that we have just received our second consecutive Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ judgment. In their report, inspectors stated that:

The sixth form continues to lead the way for other areas of the school in many aspects of its work. The highly effective sixth-form leader has high aspirations of what students can achieve. These aspirations are shared by teachers in the sixth form. Sixth-form students respond exceptionally well to the expectation that they should take responsibility for their own learning. They are adept at managing their time and organising their work. Students are proud of their sixth form. They told inspectors that they feel supported, well taught and very well cared for. Inspection evidence confirmed this to be the case. Teaching, much of which takes place in the well-resourced sixth-form building, is characterised by detailed subject knowledge, skilfully planned learning, highly effective feedback and exceptionally strong relationships. As a result outcomes remain high and are improving further. Students make exceptional progress from their individual starting points. Leaders in the sixth form ensure that students are very effectively prepared for the next stage of their education. For example, each student gains experience of the world of work, often in carefully chosen settings that relate directly to their interests and future ambitions. A large proportion continue into further education, employment or training.

Additionally, Reepham High School & College has again received notification from Alps that it has been ranked in the top 5% nationally of schools and colleges. In order to provide support and share best practice, Alps asked us to produce a case study as part of their School & College Improvement initiative. A copy is available here.

It is wonderful to receive these accolades as they represent a truly remarkable achievement and pay testament to the efforts of both students, parents and staff at Reepham College. A big thank you to all our students, parents, staff, governors and community links - a great team effort! Come along to our Open Evening on Thursday 5th October 6.00 p.m. - 8.30 p.m. and see for yourself.
