Ross Hamilton

My wife and I have lived in Cawston for 12 years, and in Norfolk for 18 years.

We have two daughters, aged 12 and 10. Our eldest has just finished Year 7 at Reepham High school, and is thoroughly enjoying everything the school has to offer.

I am a keen runner and musician. I enjoy taking part in Parkrun, and have reached over 90 runs at Blickling Hall.

I have worked as a teacher for 22 years, and my current role is as Deputy Head Academic at a school in North Norfolk. My main area of expertise is in Teaching and Learning; particularly making sure that all children are offered a curriculum that is accessible and challenging in equal measures. 

I have experience of setting up, reviewing, and developing whole school initiatives, policies and strategies to help pupils to achieve their very best and to develop the necessary skills to help them in school, in further education, and in the workplace. I have also chaired and developed curriculum groups nationally within my subject area.

I have worked in state and independent education, both in mainstream primary, secondary and SEN schools.

I am really enjoying getting to know the school and the wonderful staff, and hope I can help the school to continue to deliver an excellent experience for the children.
