Physical Education is an essential part of life at Reepham High School and College and we do our very best to promote lifelong participation in healthy and active lifestyles.

We have a strong and enthusiastic team of talented teachers who have expertise in a number of different sporting areas.

  • Mr J Easton (Head of Physical Education)
  • Mrs J Masdin (Second in Department)
  • Mr A Edgar (Teacher of Physical Education)
  • Mrs P Greig-Thompson (Teacher of Physical Education)
  • Mr C Manning (Teacher of Physical Education)
  • Miss E White (Teacher of Physical Education)

Key Stage Three

Physical Education at Key Stage three focusses on engagement, skill development, tactical understanding and performance development. Engagement is a key principle in all PE lessons. The curriculum has been planned with sports that pupils enjoy and are delivered using fun games/drills that are highly engaging and focus on the fundamental skills of each sport to enhance performance.

Pupils have one lesson a week in gender groups and one lesson a week within their tutor groups. This allows us to cover a wide variety of sports while promoting key aspects of sport, such as team work, leadership and communication.

Key Stage Four

All pupils have two core PE lessons a week which offers them a chance to participate in a curriculum promoting healthy and active lifestyles.

There are generally three GCSE groups in each year. All GCSE pupils have five lessons over a fortnight broken down to three theory lessons and two practical lessons.

Exam Specification: Edexcel - Physical Education GCSE (1PE0)

Key Stage Five

Reepham College offers A Level Physical Education. Please see the college website & prospectus for more details.
